The H?k?le‘a is currently in Cape Town, South Africa–passing the halfway mark on its journey around the world. For the crew, the sail around the tip of South Africa was considered the most dangerous leg of the journey. Upon arriving in Cape Town- A Hawai‘i delegation of crew, educators, students and families meet with Archbishop Desmond Tutu for a series of humanitarian events. We checked in with N?‘?lehu Anthony as part of our ongoing series, H?k?le‘a: Voyage of Aloha.
The H?k?le‘a will be dry-docked in in Cape Town for a few weeks until the next crew arrives to begin the next leg en-route to Brazil.
