The hidden cost of oil: Communities fractured by a pipeline project

The 900-mile-long East African Crude Oil Pipeline project is taking shape in Uganda. Led by French energy giant Total and Chinese partners, the project promises economic benefits but threatens to displace approximately 100,000 people from their homes and livelihoods.
