The Hawaii state legislature adjourned this year without taking much action to reduce teen vaping, but members of the U.S. Congress are now pursuing tobacco legislation at the federal level.

"Cautiously optimsitic" was how Hawaii's senior senator described his feelings on Democrats' chance of retaking the U.S. House of Representatives this year. On the Senate side he was less optimistic, calling it the "worst Senate map in a generation."
