Helping Hand is a weekly feature on HPR1 and online here. Each Friday afternoon, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization or event in the community that offers assistance to the disabled and other folks in need with All Things Considered local host Dave Lawrence. This week we’re learning about Hawai`i Meals on Wheels with our guest Executive Director Claire Shimabukuro.

If you would like to volunteer, donate or get involved -- especially during the holiday season -- you can contact Hawaii Meals on Wheels at 988-6747.
