A Honolulu City Council committee is proposing new plans for the controversial Honolulu Prosecutor’s Safe House. The Safe House was previously used by the City’s Prosecuting Attorney to house victims of domestic abuse.

A state judge on Monday dismissed a motion that aimed to toss out an impeachment petition against Honolulu City Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro.

The Hawaii Supreme Court today ordered Honolulu City Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro to respond to a petition filed by the state attorney general seeking to suspend the prosecutor while a federal corruption probe moves forward.
