Next month, Hawai‘i Public Radio presents an indie music lineup for its summer concert series, “INDIE808.” Local artists Keilana, The Mauve, Evan Khay, and Kennedy Taylor & The Electric Pancakes are featured in this live music showcase at HPR’s Honolulu studio.

Hawaiʻi Public Radio (HPR) launched a new podcast on July 14 called O ko mākou Hawaiʻi kēia: This Is Our Hawaiʻi. It is HPR’s premiere “digital-first” podcast.

Hawai‘i Public Radio has restored its HPR-1 radio signal on Kaua‘i, KIPL 89.9 FM. KIPL carries HPR’s news and non-classical music programming on Kaua‘i.

A Hawai‘i episode of the nationally distributed public radio program The Splendid Table will air Saturday, Feb. 4 at 9 a.m. on Hawai‘i Public Radio. The episode was taped Jan. 18 at Hawaii Theatre Center in Honolulu in front of a live audience of about 600 guests.

HPR and the Culinary Institute of the Pacific co-presented An Evening with The Splendid Table’s Francis Lam at the Hawaii Theatre last week. Mahalo to the 600+ guests that attended our first in-person event of this magnitude in nearly four years!
