That <a href="https://www.sss.gov/About/What-does-the-Agency-provide-for-the-Nation" target="_blank">databse is maintained</a> should Congress ever reauthorizes a military draft. There are serious and often irreversible consequences for men who fail to sign up before they turn 26. </p><p></p><p><a href="https://www.sss.gov/About/Directors-Biography" target="_blank">Don Benton</a> is the Director of the Selective Service System. He was in Hawaii recently to talk about the lifelong consequences of NOT registering. But he also wanted to celebrate one of our islands that is on the verge of making history. Members of the Senate’s Red Hill task force were set to meet tomorrow morning to talk about the condition of fuel tanks. But we’ve just learned that the meeting has been postponed.
