Later in life, he <a href="http://www.oregonlive.com/books/index.ssf/2015/06/gerry_lopez_hawaiian_surfing_l.html">found a new passion</a>: snowboarding. We tagged along with AARP members as part of a series of events sponsored by the organization. It’s a popular tour regularly offered through the <a href="https://historichawaii.org/tag/hawaii-heritage-center/">Hawaii Heritage Center</a>.
