For a handful of law students from India, their summer is being spent in Hawaii working as <i>externs</i> for Justices of the Hawaii Supreme Court. It’s one program of a growing partnership between India and Hawaii through the Jindal Global Law School and UH. A delegation from the school is in Honolulu to discuss Environmental Court, climate change and the environmental rule of law in India and Hawaii, at a UH Law school symposium. Founding Dean of Jindal Global Law School and founding Vice Chancellor of the Jindal University, Professor C. Raj Kumar joins us now.</p><p>Intro Music: Forgotten People by Thievery Corporation</p><p>Outro Music: I Fought The Law by The Clash</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><a href="http://www4.honolulu.gov/docushare/dsweb/View/Collection-2368" target="_blank"><b>Honolulu City Council Bills 34, 35, 36: Chairwoman Ann Kobayashi</b></a></p><audio controls><source src="https://cpa.ds.npr.org/khpr/audio/2016/06/BA_AK061516_0.mp3"></audio><figure><img src="https://npr.brightspotcdn.com/dims4/default/4b381ae/2147483647/strip/false/crop/272x185+0+0/resize/272x185!/quality/90/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fnpr-brightspot.s3.amazonaws.com%2Flegacy%2Fsites%2Fkhpr%2Ffiles%2F201606%2Fhonolulu_hale.jpg"><figcaption><span>(Wikipedia)</span></figcaption></figure><p>This morning, the Honolulu City Council budget committee again takes up several bills that could have some high profile consequences.
