Hotels prepare for tourists return

Talk has been intensifying over how and when Hawaii will reopen its doors to tourism. Mufi Hannemann is the head of the Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association and he tells us about setting standards for jump starting the visitor industry.

Unions advocate for worker protections

Last week, hotel workers rallied - in their cars - through Waikiki calling for a safe return to work. Eric Gill, Financial Secretary-Treasurer of Unite Here! Local 5, is advocating for more job protections for the union's 11,500 members.

Returning to the dental chair

Concerned about the spread of COVID-19, dentail hygienists asked for guidance after some dental offices called them back to work for non-essential appointments last month. Kim Nguyen, executive director of the Hawaii Dental Association, explains the latest guidance on resuming routine dental appointments.
