We’ve got a meteor shower to look for this week, plus we hear about a local discovery involving the Keck Observatories as HPR’s Dave Lawrence speaks with Christopher Phillips from the Mauna Kea Astronomy Outreach Committee for this week’s Stargazer report.

According to the observatory officials, the Keck facility used adaptive optics to make the discovery that G2 is actually a pair of binary stars.
