Today tickets went on-sale to Hawaii residents for the return of The Eagles. They’ll play Aloha Stadium Friday December 7th, the first rock show at the stadium since U2 and Pearl Jam in 2006, and Jack Johnson will be their opening act. It’s the first time the band has been here since a four-show run of dates in 2005 at the Blaisdell Arena, and significant also as their first dates ever in Hawaii without late original member Glenn Frey, guitarist and founding member of the Eagles who passed away in 2016. Last year, bassist and vocalist Timothy B. Schmit spoke with HPR All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence, discussing his solo album Leap of Faith, and his connection to Glenn and The Eagles. We offer it as an interview flashback today.
