This week on Helping Hand we’re learning about November being Epilepsy Awareness Month and the Epilepsy Foundation Hawai‘i 3rd annual Living Well with Epilepsy Conference on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Queen’s Conference Center. We hear more about this invaluable free conference with our guest the President of the Board of Directors of the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawai‘i, Lacey Shimabukuro.
Helping Hand is a weekly feature airing statewide on HPR1 stations each week and then appearing online here, where our Helping Hand segments are archived online. Every Friday afternoon in the five o’clock hour as part of HPR’s statewide broadcast of All Things Considered, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization or event in the community that offers assistance to the disabled and other folks in need with local All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence.
