This week on Helping Hand we’re learning about the Domestic Violence Action Center. Since 1990, they’ve provided legal information and representation to victims and sectors of the community, including advocacy to assist and accompany victims as they seek access to community resources in their pursuit of safety and freedom. HPR All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence welcomes back CEO Nanci Kreidman.
Helping Hand is a weekly feature airing statewide on HPR1 stations each week and then appearing online here, where all the Helping Hand segments are archived online. Every Friday afternoon, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization topic or event that offers assistance to the disabled and others among the most vulnerable.
