69 years ago today General Douglas MacArthur stood on the starboard deck of the USS Missouri, just aft of a sixteen inch gun turret and “...invited the representatives of the Emperor of Japan... to sign the instrument of surrender at the places indicated…” A relatively quick and painless formality. Small Businessman Supports Hawaii Health Connector: Stephen Nii

By now you've already heard that HMSA has pulled out of the  Hawaii Health Connector's Small Business Health Options Program. That has one small businessman steamed. Stephen Nii is a fourth generation owner of a 125 year old family business in Waipahu, the Nii Superette.  He's written an op-ed detailing his displeasure over HMSA's decision and he joined the show this morning.

Scott Ohtoro will celebrate the vinyl release of his new album “When The Right Time” on Friday September 12th at The Dragon Upstairs.
