The H?k?le‘a, Hawaii's famous Polynesian canoe, uses indigenous knowledge and traditional navigation skills.

Next month, the H?k?le‘a and its sister canoe, the Hikianalia , will set sail on a 46,000 mile trip across the globe. And joining the crew will be a team of Hawaii teachers and researchers, who will play a key role in bringing the Worldwide Voyage back into the classroom. HPR’s Molly Solomon reports.
