Karl Haro von Mogel is a plant biotechnologist and chair of independent science nonprofit Biology Fortified, Inc., based in Wisconsin. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics with a minor in Life Science Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Kauai Council has been deliberating bill 2491and is waiting for the state attorney general to weigh in before the committee again looks at the bill next month.
