Federal Court Rules Maui Violated Clean Water Act

A federal court has ruled that Maui County is violating the Clean Water Act. The problem is the release of partially-treated wastewater into waters near the shore of West Maui. Eileen Chao has more from the Maui News.

Community complaints about abandoned vehicles and rubbish prompted the action to clean up the area. Social service providers have been offering assistance to people living at the harbor, according to Maui County.
