University of Hawaii at Hilo recently received an unexpected gift, a $500 thousand dollar endowment from a Hilo dentist who also teaches at UH Manoa. The endowment is in honor of her former history professor. And it is the first endowed chair in UH Hilo's history. HPR's Sherry Bracken has the story.
