College and grad students often fill their summer with internships to make sense of what they learn in class with some real world experience. For a handful of law students from India, their summer is being spent in Hawaii working as externs for Justices of the Hawaii Supreme Court. It’s one program of a growing partnership between India and Hawaii through the Jindal Global Law School and UH. A delegation from the school is in Honolulu to discuss Environmental Court, climate change and the environmental rule of law in India and Hawaii, at a UH Law school symposium. Founding Dean of Jindal Global Law School and founding Vice Chancellor of the Jindal University, Professor C. Raj Kumar joins us now.

Bills 34, 35, and 36 all have Ann Kobayashi’s name on them - we called her earlier to get a reminder of the what the bills would do and we started with Bill 34, which would create a pilot program to repurpose Public School lands leased from the City.

There’s something about coming home: returning to familiar surroundings in familiar company… it’s a time to rediscover the things you love best and think about the ways you have changed since you last came home. Homecoming is the theme of a new Adaptations Dance Theater concert that brings featured dancers with Maui ties back to a place that has inspired them. Amelia Couture is the Executive Director of the Adaptations Dance Theater and the choreographer of a world premiere event at the concert.  She’s on the line from her studio.
