You would think that posting care home inspections online would have been easy. When the 2013 law passed, the department of health had an 18 month runway and funding for two positions to comply. But the DOH missed the deadline and despite Governor Ige’s strong support for the law, it has only intermittently posted the inspection reports, often heavily redacted. Yesterday, the Kokua Council took the matter to court. Board member and former president Larry Geller’s with us this morning.

Kids seem to have a natural affinity for science, when you show them how much fun it can be. Curiosity comes naturally to them, and if you can keep them supplied with phenomena to be curious about, the learning, and the fun, will never stop. With that idea in mind, the Maui Science Center is creating a winter environment where people can do what they never get to do here in Hawaii: build snowmen and igloos…RimmaMurta is the director and founder of the Maui Science Center, and she’s with us this morning.
