The Conversation: State of Social Work

Wikimedia Commons

March is national social work month. It’s one of the toughest jobs out there: high stress, low pay, and long hours. Here in Hawaii, the Child Welfare Services program just received failing grades across the board for the second time. Today’s panel examines the state of social work in Hawaii.

Guests:

Sonja Bigalke-Bannan, Executive Director, National Association of Social Workers Hawaii

Dana Kano, the Oahu Child Welfare Services (CWS) Section 4 Administrator

Francie Julien-Chinn, Assistant Professor at the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work at the University of Hawai`i at M?noa
