Loretta Sheehan on police reform discussion
There's a nationwide discussion on police reform and defunding the police, but what might that mean for Honolulu? Loretta Sheehan was appointed to the Honolulu Police Commission in 2016, served as chair and resigned last month. An attorney and former federal prosecutor, she was on the commission through much of then-HPD chief Louis Kealoha's federal corruption probe. She was the only dissenting vote on Kealoha's $250,000 retirement package. Sheehan talks about the defund the police discussion and takeaways from the federal corruption trial.

Roberta Uno is the Director of Arts in a Changing America at the California Institute of the Arts. She was born in Hawaii and continues to be an ally for Hawaii artists and cultural practitioners. Solomon Enos' paintings are in hotels, offices and private collections all over town. A community artist, Enos has done countless projects with youth and neighborhood groups. His ongoing series, Polyfantastica, is a 40,000 year epic set in Oceania. He share his perspective during our mid-COVID experience.
