The Conversation: Drones

Pixabay

In recent weeks, we’ve been seeing the use of drones by various government agencies for science and disaster relief. Last month NOAA scientists shared a video of how they were able to help a whale entangled in discarded fishing nets. The use of drones is growing but so are concerns about privacy. Neighborhood watch groups are starting to see posts from worried members.

Joining us in the studio today are Ted Ralston, Program Director of the University of Hawaii’s Unmanned Aerial Systems Center, and Maika Motas, of KoleaGold - a company that provides drone educational programs as well commercial aerial photography.
