UH readies for all online classes

University of Hawaii officials have spent spring break ramping up for Monday. It's the day that classes are set to resume online due to the COVID-19 crisis. It will be a big test of Hawaii's infrastructure. Will we see a crash or a slowdown? Or will it be NBD? Garret Yoshimi, vice president of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for the University of Hawai system, tells us how the school has been preparing.

Shipping industry addresses supply chain rumors

It's been a week since bad information floating on the Internet panicked Hawaii shoppers, who thought shipping lines were going to be disrupted. Since then, officials have been trying to dispel rumors and calm the community down. Vic Angoco, senior vice president of Matson's Pacific division, separates fact from fiction.

Health department keeps COVID-19 testing narrow

In just a few weeks, commercial laboratories have far outpaced the state in their rate of testing, but Hawaii Department of Health officials says their screening methodology is deliberately narrow to conserve resources. Hawaii players could fill USA's Olympic beach volleyball teams

Tri Bourne and Trevor Crabb grew up playing volleyball together at the Outrigger Canoe Club in Waikiki, and now the duo is poised to make their first summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. Things are up in the air though with the COVID-19 pandemic leading to event cancelations world wide. The two talk volleyball and preparing from the games from their self quarantine in California.
