China is playing a growing role in Hawai‘i’s economy, although it’s still a relatively small one. The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority is targeting half-a-million Chinese visitors within the next five years. That would be more than triple last year’s figures. But those numbers are dwarfed by the investments China is announcing this week in South Asia. HPR’s Bill Dorman has more in today’s Asia Minute.
