We’ve got a pair of sunset planets to look for, a meteor shower is happening and we learn about a new discovery relating to gamma rays as All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence speaks with Christopher Phillips  for this week’s Stargazer report.

What is a nova? In this rendering, the star V407 Cyg explodes in a nova while circling a neighboring red giant star in a still from a NASA animation depicting the star explosion detected in 2010.
