Gospel Legend Vickie Winans Tours the U.S.

She's been called the hardest-working woman in gospel -- and Vickie Winans has the resume to prove it.

Depending on the day and the project, she's a producer, singer, actress, songwriter and playwright. But she's best known for her electrifying stage presence. She can light up concert hall or church with her updated versions of gospel standards, such as "As Long as I Got King Jesus."

The singer, who started her career with the group Winans II with Bebe and Cece, is in the middle of headlining her own nationwide tour, but took time off to talk with Ed Gordon about her latest CD, Bringing It All Together.

The CD stayed at the top of the gospel charts for nine weeks and produced the hit single "Shake Yourself Loose."
