1. Harold Mabern: Mr Lucky – A Tribute to Sammy Davis Jr. Harold Mabern, one of jazz's most enduring and dazzlingly skilled pianists steps into the spotlight as a leader on this recording full of high spirits, driving energy and great jazz. Hailing from Memphis, Jr. Mabern started out as a drummer but switched to piano, keeping that rhythmic drive in his keyboard technique. With his long-time colleague, Eric Alexander, Mabern romps and stomps through an interesting repertoire of songs associated with Sammy Davis Jr. Featuring John Webber on bass and Joe Farnsworth on drums.

2. Cedar Walton: The Bouncer: As a pianist, Walton invents all the time, and makes his always imaginative work fit into the context of whatever he's playing. His quintet includes trombonist Steve Turre, Vincent Herring on saxophone, bassist David Williams, Will Jones III on drums, and percussionist Ray Mantilla.
3. Joey DeFrancesco: Wonderful! Wonderful! From the get-go, Joey DeFrancesco established his credentials with virtuoso technique and an innate soulfulness that he brought to bear on the Hammond B-3 organ. Throughout his early career, Joey was widely recognized for building a bridge from the instrument's golden period of the 1960s and early 70s to the modern vocabulary and usage that it enjoys today. With jazz guitar great Larry Coryell and legendary drummer Jimmy Cobb, Joey imbues the venerable genre with new life, vigor and a modern.

Geoffrey Keezer provides the interesting arrangements and scoring that have come to be synonymous with a Denise Donatelli recording.

5. Houston Person: Naturally: Houston Person has become something of a jazz institution.
