Dance Collaboration Rooted in Personal Stories

Some of Hawai`i's best known dancers from nearly two dozen different genres will collaborate on the Kennedy Theatre stage tonight and Saturday. "From the Horse's Mouth-Hawai`i" is the local version of a dance theatre project that has strengthened community ties and delighted audiences across the country. HPR's Noe Tanigawa spoke with the project's creators at a recent rehearsal.

Art at the Capitol

The Hawai`i State Legislature is celebrating First Friday today with an open invitation to view over 430 works of public art at the State Capitol. Many of Hawai`i's finest artists will be there, with entertainment provided by the Hawai`i Youth Symphony. HPR's Noe Tanigawa reports on this opportunity to enjoy artworks from the State Foundation's collection that adorn our legislators' offices.
