HIV and AIDS are diseases that still affect many in the U.S. and in our community.
Today is World AIDS Day.
A day meant to remember those who died, and to raise awareness. And support for those who have HIV or AIDS.
World AIDS Day was first held in 1988, making it the first day for global awareness of a medical condition.
More than 30 million people around the world are believed to currently have the virus…including more than 700 individuals in the state.
Here in the islands, the Life Foundation will hold a service tonight to remember those who have died.
