Owen Shieh is a UH Manoa Department of Meteorology PhD candidate investigating the factors that drive rapid intensification of tropical storms and typhoons in the western North Pacific,; he's also the Weather and Climate Program Coordinator at the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center in Honolulu. Alzheimer’s Disease: Dr. Lori Chibnik
Dr. Lori Chibnik earned her PhD in biostatistics at Boston University. She joined the faculty of Harvard Medical School and Brigham & Women's Hospital, department of neurology and became an associated researcher with the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Her work focuses on the genetics and genomics of neuro-degenerative diseases, primarily Alzheimer's Disease, cognitive decline and Multiple Sclerosis.
