The Rise of the Pacific Region: Neal Conan

It’s a question the next president will have to face and its answer will be reflected in the US role in global affairs from fighting terrorism to trading with Asia. We begin with News Analyst Neal Conan joins us from his macadamia nut farm on the Big Island to discuss America’s place in one of the world’s most dynamic regions: the Pacific.

He served, at various times, as editor, producer, and executive producer of All Things Considered and may be best known as the long-time host of Talk of the Nation. Now a macadamia nut farmer on Hawaiʻi Island, his "Pacific News Minute" can be heard on HPR Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
