Dairy Farmers and GMO Corn: Steve Whitesides
Steve Whitesides has been a dairy farmer for 35 years in Hawaii and Idaho. He farms with two of his five children and in partnership with his nephew. The Hawaii farm produces 6,500 gallons of milk per day every day of the year... He’d like his farm to be a bright spot in Hawaii agriculture, though the fight over GMO feed and produce crops could dim his farm’s future. We farm 1900 acres of pasture land and farm 600 acres of Corn Silage in Hawaii.
MACCArtist-In-Residence: Wes Bruce
Wes Bruce is the first ever artist-in-residence at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, and he’s working his transformative magic on two thousand square feet in MACC.
