Lucky Peach: Art, Literature, Food, Attitude

When they began, the team behind Lucky Peach magazine were hoping there were others like them:  people who care about art, literature and food.   Two years later, they sell a hundred thousand of each issue and have become a model for successful niche publishing.   The Lucky Peach team will share their secrets in Honolulu this weekend.  HPR’s Noe Tanigawa reports.

R/D in Kaka’ako is hosting a series of gatherings with the Lucky Peach team this weekend, August 3-5, including food events with local chefs.  

The Art of Lucky Peach: Saturday, August 3 @ 4pm

Lucky Peach Art Director Walter Green gives a behind the scenes look at how this visually stunning magazine is created through collaborations with artists and designers. Located at R/D 691 Auahi Street. Saturday, August 3 @ 4pm

Potluck Carnival: Monday, August 5 @ 6:30pm
