Helping Hand - July 10, 2015 complete interview with Waikiki Health Care-A-Van Drop-In Clinic

Helping Hand returns to the issue of homelessness in the Aloha State with Care-A-Van Drop-In Clinic from Waikiki Health. Helping Hand is a weekly feature on HPR1 stations statewide and then online at hawaiipublicradio.org in our growing database of resources. Each Friday afternoon, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization or event that offers assistance to the disabled and other folks among the most vulnerable in the community with All Things Considered Local Host Dave Lawrence. This week we’re learning about the Care-A-Van Drop-In Clinic from Waik?k? Health.

Care-A-Van Drop-In Clinic provides drop-in medical and social services to families and individuals experiencing or at risk for homelessness. The clinic is also open to the general public. According to their website, they have been providing compassionate healing and expert care since 1967. Medical and social services are provided at clinics in Waikiki, Kaimuki, and across the Honolulu area. We learn more about the Care-A-Van Drop-In Clinic with Director Jason Espero.
