This week on Helping Hand, a huge privilege to welcome back an organization that has been helping those in need since 1865: The Salvation Army. HPR All Things Considered Host Dave Lawrence welcomes a guest today who recently assisted with disaster recovery efforts in Texas, Lt. Micheal Stack of The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands – Divisional Youth Secretary, Emergency Disaster Services Coordinator, and Men’s Ministry Secretary.

Helping Hand is a weekly feature airing statewide on HPR1 stations each Friday as part of our afternoon drive broadcast of All Things Considered, and then appearing online here, where all of our Helping Hand segments and resources are archived online. Every week, Helping Hand puts the spotlight on an organization, topic or event that offers assistance to people with disabilities and others among the most vulnerable.
