The Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra: Welcome Fireworks

noe tanigawa

The Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra has announced an all-star line-up of concerts this Fall.   Classic masterworks and popular showpieces will be performed by some of America’s favorite artists.  HPR’s Noe Tanigawa previews the new season.

The Hawai’i Symphony’s gala second season begins  October 19th with violinist Sarah Chang.   Ticket purchasing should be simpler, all concerts are weekend dates, and last year’s season ticket holders are assured their seats if they renew before August 26th.   Single ticket sales should begin at the end of the month.  Details and order forms are available at the website.

Just to whet your appetite, check out Joyce Yang’s rehearsal of the Tchaikovsky she will play here.  She's performing with the Hong Kong Philharmonic in this video.
