Has the Republican Party painted itself into a corner over gun control?  Is it going to be the defining issue that separates the two parties?   The term “school shooting” has entered the national vocabulary in the worst way -- and there have been dozens of them since Sandy Hook in December of 2012… but national polls show only moderate support for stricter gun control laws.   It’s the kind of polarizing issue politicians hate to confront, and contributing editor Neal Milner has some ideas about how candidates on both sides will handle it.

After falling in love with the sounds of Elvis at the tender age of 3, our next guest went on to perform as a tribute artist at the age of 15, and in 2009 was recognized as one of the top 5 Elvis performers at the official Elvis Presley Enterprise Ultimate Elvis contest held no less in Memphis. Having performed as Elvis thousands of times, Leo Days has perfected the mannerisms, vocal stylings, and dance moves of the three genres of Elvis, the early days, the sexy leather days, and the polished Vegas performer days, all of which are on display at his current show  “Burn N Love” in Waikiki’s Magic of Polynesia showroom.

Have you ever had to stand in front of a crowd and run the show all by yourself? Al Waterson has, and to be a really top notch emcee, you have to be prepared for just about anything. From jazz concerts, to weddings, to community events, and even guest starring on Hawaii 5-0, Al has seen it all over the years, and lived to tell about it... he’s here this morning to share with us the art of being an emcee... he  should know, he’s been doing it for years now and hopefully many more to come.
