A heated debate is getting hotter. It’s over a ballot question that asks whether or not we should amend the state constitution. The measure would give the state legislature the powerto tax investment property to fund public education. We talked with a group of UH professors who refer to themselves as the Hawaii Scholars for Education Social Justice, the Hawaii State Association of Counties, and the Grassroots Institute for their perspectives.
