Electric Transportation Roadmap
The Hawaiian Electric Companies have created an Electrification of Transportation Strategic Roadmap that “foresees Hawai‘i in 2045 with most personal light-duty vehicles powered by electricity generated by solar, wind, biofuels, geothermal and other renewable resources.”

Gubernatorial Candidates Gather for Public Forum
The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement held one of the first forums of the 2018 Gubernatorial race this past Friday. All seven of the candidates took part. Questions centered on Native Hawaiian housing and healthcare issues but also included more general topics like water use, state finances, and affordable housing. Listen to the full forum here.

Kennedy Theater’s production of Nora
In the 1879 play “A Doll’s House,” Nora lives among all the trappings of happy married life and ends up rejecting them, becoming one the theater’s first feminist icons in the process. Stacy Ray is directing a University of Hawaii Department of Theatre and Dance production of Ingmar Bergman’s “Nora,” a variation of Ibsen’s “A Doll House,” at Kennedy Theater.
