Some residents of Kailua on Oahu’s windward coast who have been vocal about the changing character of the beach town worry that a plan to manage development and conservation around the Kawainui/Hamakua Marsh will draw even more tourists to the area. DLNR held a recent community meeting to get more feedback and to clarify any misconceptions people might have.
