Hawaii County Council Moves to Regulate Short Term Rentals
Hawaii County is the last jurisdiction in the state without some form of restriction on temporary vacation rentals. This week County Councilmembers introduced a measure that would regulate how and where properties can be rented short term.

Local scientists have been working with colleagues as far away as South Africa and Iowa to study the species of fungi that causes the disease and there are some signs of hope that this killer of native forests can be contained.
