Radio Reading for the Blind

We close out our look at Volunteer opportunities across the state with a story about the Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled. It provides services for only a fraction of the thousands of people across the state who are either born blind or have lost their vision later in life.

National Volunteer Week

As we close out Volunteer Week we checked in with Lisa Maruyama who heads the Hawaii Alliance for Non-Profit Organizations about why volunteers are needed more than ever. You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown

Many generations in America know about the Peanuts gang. These beloved characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz found life onstage with Clark Gesner’s 1967 musical comedy “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” Pro Arts Playhouse in Kihei shares the production with audiences this weekend.
