Hawai‘i Public Radio (HPR), a locally-managed, community-funded nonprofit serving a statewide audience is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, service-minded individuals to join its Membership team. Passion for public radio, news and/or the arts a must, as are excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written. Proficient with MS Office, database experience helpful. Listener Event Coordinator:  Increase awareness of, engagement with, and donations to HPR via creative membership promotions. Responsibilities include working with community partners, budgets & volunteers to organize donor, outreach, and fundraising events.  Assist with day-to-day donor and listener support in an active work group. Requires an energetic, well-organized self-starter who thrives on handling multiple projects and deadlines. Minimum 4 years work experience. 

Membership Assistant: Strengthen HPR’s relationship with its listening community via excellent service. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day donor and listener support for full range of membership activities, including fielding phone inquiries, gift processing, and data entry, prepping mail and thank you gifts.  Assist with donor, outreach, and fundraising events. Requires a conscientious, well-organized individual with meticulous attention to detail. Minimum 2 years work experience.

HPR has plans to expand its locally-hosted classical music offerings and will be adding a few new voices.  Prior experience helpful but not required. A good set of pipes and a passion for public radio a must.
