“Farm to Table” dining takes
on a new meaning when your table is literally on the farm. That’s the idea
behind an upcoming event organized by a group called “Outstanding in the
Field.” Based in California, the company travels to farms across the country, and
they’re coming to Oahu on January 27th
The concept is to establish
a connection to the land---and diners are served meals straight from the
source. The hosts for the event will be Gary and Kukui Maunakea-Forth, the
owners of MA’O Farms.
Guest Chef Ed Kenney from
Town looks forward to reconnecting people to the food they eat. Kenney will be
preparing a menu based on the concept of Fire and Earth, using locally-sourced
ingredients.
