Kilauea Volcano is marking more than one anniversary
this year. January was the 30th anniversary of the East Rift Zone
Eruption. And this month, it is five years since the main Kilauea Crater
started erupting after a pause of 45 years. From the Big Island, HPR's
Sherry Bracken tells us more.
Governor Abercrombie spent part of the day Wednesday on the
Big Island. He talked with residents about several issues of local
concern--including the plans for the oft-discussed Honokohau Harbor.

Festival--but this year, they've expanded their focus beyond breadfruit.

Hawaii County citizens voted for a new county prosecutor for
the first time in 20 years last November. The new prosecutor has been on the
job for nearly three months now -- and spoke to HPR's Sherry Bracken about some
of his biggest challenges.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo's College of Pharmacy is
the only pharmacy school in the Pacific Rim. It's come a long way since
its creation less than 10 years ago. But it's now facing a major
challenge that could jeopardize its future. HPR's Sherry Bracken talked
