Hilo's Merrie Monarch Festival has been in full swing since Sunday with events throughout town. Tonight is the free ho`ike at Edith Kanaka`ole Stadium, showcasing several halau. And then the competition starts tomorrow. Sherry Bracken talked with a well known Hawaiian cultural expert to get her insights on how to best watch the Merrie Monarch.

It's been three weeks since traces of radiation were detected in milk on the Big Island. But scientists said the amounts were so low they were no threat to human health.
