Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and for many Hawaii families, the
morning is filled not only with getting that turkey stuffed and ready to go,
but with watching the big parade from New York on television. HPR's
Sherry Bracken spoke with the parade's TV producer for a behind-the-scenes look
at the annual holiday event.
Hawaii County Mayor
Billy Kenoi has made county park restoration a high priority, saying he wants
to take care of keiki and seniors. The latest for the County Parks Department
is planning for two parks in West Hawaii.

The newest highway on
Hawaii Island opened up earlier this year, with the land for the highway coming
from the Queen Lili'uokalani Trust. That highway has provided access to
thousands of acres of formerly landlocked Trust land. From Kona, HPR's Sherry
Bracken tells us what the Trust plans to do now.

The State of Hawaii
has taken another step forward to support space exploration. New funding
will help take a five year old program to the next level. HPR's Sherry

newest college campus is finally getting closer to reality after decades of
discussion, as the University of Hawaii begins its search for a contractor to
