Behind-The-Scenes of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and for many Hawaii families, the morning is filled not only with getting that turkey stuffed and ready to go, but with watching the big parade from New York on television.  HPR's Sherry Bracken spoke with the parade's TV producer for a behind-the-scenes look at the annual holiday event.

New Parks Planned for West Hawaii

Hawaii County Mayor Billy Kenoi has made county park restoration a high priority, saying he wants to take care of keiki and seniors. The latest for the County Parks Department is planning for two parks in West Hawaii.

Queen Lili'uokalani Trust Plans

The newest highway on Hawaii Island opened up earlier this year, with the land for the highway coming from the Queen Lili'uokalani Trust.  That highway has provided access to thousands of acres of formerly landlocked Trust land.  From Kona, HPR's Sherry Bracken tells us what the Trust plans to do now.
