Recently Boom Gaspar, the Pearl Jam keyboardist born and raised in Hawai`i, released the first taste of side-project Po & the 4Fathers, via a 7" single on Record Store Day. He and band-members Kawai Hoe and Kiliona Young spoke to HPR’s Dave Lawrence about their upcoming debut release.
Blues guitarist Popa Chubby – aka Ted Horowitz -- is in the state right now, on an unusual sort of tour; he’s doing nine shows on three islands. HPR’s Dave Lawrence spoke with him about his interesting name, the Hawai`i tour and his new album, Back In New York City.
